Civil Law

Suits, injunctions, recovery and civil appeals, prepared carefully and argued with clarity.

Most civil disputes are won or lost on paper: the plaint, the documents and the timeline. We build each case on that foundation and keep you informed at every hearing.

Civil litigation covers disputes between people, families and businesses over property, money, contracts and rights. These matters move through the City Civil Courts in Bengaluru and, on appeal, the High Court of Karnataka.

We begin with a frank assessment of your documents and options, including settlement or mediation where it makes better sense than a long trial.

Common questions

How long does a civil suit take?

It depends on the court's workload, the number of parties and how many interim applications are filed. We give you a realistic estimate after reviewing your case, and we look for ways to resolve matters sooner through mediation or Lok Adalat where possible.

Can I get an urgent order to stop the other side?

Yes. A temporary injunction can be sought along with the suit when there is an urgent threat to your property or rights. The court needs to see a prima facie case and a risk of irreparable harm.

Is there a time limit to file a civil case?

Yes. The Limitation Act sets deadlines that vary by type of claim. Bring your documents early so we can check the limitation period before it runs out.
